Search engines: Google is king in the land called search. You may or may not know Google performs 75% of searches on the internet. A small company formed not so long ago has profits in the range of $14,000,000,000 a year contributed from their Adwords platform which is soon to become the largest advertising platform in the world. For those that have endless pockets and can afford to spend hundreds of dollars a day Adwords can make a good living and can even increase the visibility that would not exist without the user having to scroll through thousands of results. The serps is where your listing can be found, commonly called search engines results for the novice. The most important serp is pages 1-2 in any search engine in the world including the almighty Google. Search engines have evolved frrom the prehistoric state to the most advanced technology on the face of the earth. You ask yourself how this is the most advanced technology in the world and I answer you with this rebuttle. More people search the internet on a daily basis for products and services than do any other single activity in the world including television watiching and sexual activities. Years ago anyone could throw a website up on the internet without any website optimization needed. For example, Bob Jones starts a website and he calls it 'BobJonesWebsite' . He uploads the website, puts some images up, some links in place, creates an 'about ' page, a 'products' page, a 'contact us' page but forgets the most important thing. Let there be light! It comes to him in his sleep; Bob decides to sell ice cream. You scream, I scream ,we all scream for ice cream! So he gets on the phone and starts ordering every product imaginable related to ice cream. Bob's ready to open his doors $30,000 later. The search engines' spyders begin crawling and indexing Bob's website. You have to remember this is back in the day where not too many people are selling ice cream on the internet. Bob' making money hand over fist and receiving hoards of traffic without any website optimization implemented whatsoever. Time goes by and more and more people are on the ineternet; Bob is not the only one selling ice cream on the internet anymore and he sees fluctuation in business and a decrease in website traffic. The funniest part is his neighbor is buying all his supplies from Bob! So, he picks up the phone, calls his neighbor and asks how his website is doing better than Bob's in the serps. Paypal will allow users to send money and will hold and support 19 different currencies all over the world. Paypal's base is located is San Jose, California but for the most part is operated from Omaha, Nebraska where this enormous company empowers more than 2,000 employees with the all powerful model that customers' confidential information is guarded with the utmost respect. Paypal has now been acquired by another little company called ebay costing them over a billion dolloars. The reason ebay acquired Paypal is because 75% of ebay business was done through Paypal.
